Welcome to Den Haag

Our  big adventure has finally begun.  Today was Henry’s first trip on an airplane and it was ‘great’.  We had a whole row for our family and Nana packed us  some  airplane supplies: toys, notepads, new fuzzy friends, snacks and dinner.  I even had my own tv screen that I could control by myself.  I could track our plane on the screen, and it was crazy to see that it was -85 degrees outside the plane.  Nobody slept much.

Henry and Tigger in the Luggage Train

In the airport we had to make a luggage train for all 8 of our suitcases, 3 carry-on suitcases and our stroller.  Daddy said we had over 500 lbs of stuff.  Henry drove the stroller with 3 bags, Mommy drove 3 more bags, I had 3 bags and Daddy had 5.  We were lucky that we could push our carts all the way to Mr. Maarten’s car in the parking lot.  We love the Dutch flags with orange streamers that he gave us.  His car was not big enough so Mommy took 2 suitcases with her in a taxi.

William in the Luggage Train

We were in our new house before lunch and I like our place a lot. I will tell more about it later.

A quick trip to the local Albert Heijn (the grocery store) and we were in for the day.

It was quite an adventure today and we even got to skip quiet time two days in a row.  I think with our new school we get to skip quiet time every day.
